Copyright Information

At SowndHaus, we respect the intellectual property rights of creators and expect our users to do the same. This page provides essential information about copyright and how it applies to content on our platform.

1. Understanding Copyright

Copyright is a legal right that grants the creator of an original work exclusive rights to its use and distribution. This includes musical compositions, sound recordings, lyrics, and cover art.

When you create original music, you generally own the copyright to it. To use someone else's copyrighted work, you typically need their permission or a license.

2. Your Responsibilities as an Uploader

When you upload content to SowndHaus, you represent and warrant that:

  • You are the sole creator and owner of the content, or you have obtained all necessary rights, licenses, consents, and permissions to use and upload the content on SowndHaus.
  • Your content does not infringe upon the copyrights, trademarks, privacy rights, publicity rights, or any other intellectual property or personal rights of any third party.

Uploading unauthorized copyrighted material is a violation of our Community Guidelines and may lead to the removal of your content and/or account termination.

3. Reporting Copyright Infringement (DMCA)

SowndHaus complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). If you believe that your copyrighted work has been uploaded to SowndHaus without your authorization, you may submit a copyright infringement notification.

  • A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  • A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.

Please send DMCA notices to: [email protected]
